Thank you to all of you commenters. It was like christmas or opening gifts to read your remarks

I realized the other day, I had many comments waiting for approval or to be posted.
I had forgotten to check. I read through them all and just wanted to thank everyone for them. For these comments which are lovely and encouraging. For suggestions of things to include when blogging. Thank you for the facebook support. Thank you for twitter comments, in person encouragement, and e-mails too. I love reading them and am so glad you like the blog. I love blogging a great deal too.

Nice to know people are reading.

I met a friend on the bus today on my way to an appointment.  It was so nice to see her and chat with her on the bus.  She mentioned that she reads my blog every day.  Then she said, "I don't think you wrote in it yesterday."  I hadn't.  Sometimes I wonder if people notice that when I miss a day.  I didn't miss a day for a year but I am not so tough on myself these days although I am still drawn to blog regularly.  But it felt good to know that people read and look forward to my entries.  Thank you to you all out there.  More adventures in future posts I promise.  For now just a huge thanks to you all!

Adicted to blogging. Going to start another blog.

I'm going to start another blog this week.  This one will be filled with resources for people who are blind.  So now, I have four blogs.  I do love them and love writing in them although this one gets the most attention.  Will post the link to the new blog once it is set up.

What shall I blog about in 2012?

So, happy new year to all. May 2012 be wonderful for all of you. I'm wondering what to blog about this year. I'm thinking of blogging on different themes perhaps. Blindness and technology, blindness and traveling around, funny things about being blind, frustrating things about being blind, how tos. Myths and misconceptions. Any suggestions are welcome.

I did it. blogged every single day for a whole year.

Last year, In January of 2011, I made a resolution. I promised to blog each and every day.  A story about being blind.  A good thing about being blind.  Some people thought I wouldn't do it and I wondered too.  There were days when it was particularly difficult.  When my beloved retired guide dog Gia died, when I was in the midst of creating my one woman show, when I didn't feel well, when I was travelling, when my dad had a bad accident.  but I kept going and am so glad that I did.  I've grown to love blogging.  It has become a part of my day and also has given me great ideas for storytelling.  I shall continue.  Maybe not always each day but as long as I have something interesting to say, I will carry on.  Thanks to all of y ou for reading and for showing an interest in my blog.

Great things about being blind. Blogging and storytelling.

Those of you who have seen my storytelling performances know that much of my storytelling material comes from autobiographical stories that I create and perform. When I started this blog, I planned to write every day for a year one great thing about being blind. And I have done it so far. I wanted to do this to dispel some of the myths about disability. I hope I am doing this. But, I never thought how blogging could provide me with great story ideas. They work hand in hand so nicely. Blogging is not a hardship. In fact, I now have three blogs. My great things about being blind blog, my storytelling blog, and a blog written by my guide dog. See links below as I am crossposting this to all three blogs. Am I a blind blogaholic? Quite possibly! Do I mind? Not at all. Great things about being blind. My storytelling blog Tulia's guide dog blog
